Gwen the Hen
Join us for a delightful time at the Library with Missy Singer DuMars, of Crown Hill Farm, as she reads "Gwen the Rescue Hen". Adding an interactive twist to the event, Missy will bring along a fluffy entourage of adorable chicks for the kids to pet and meet. The joy is palpable when you connect with these charming little creatures, fostering a deeper appreciation for the world of agriculture and farm life. Missy, a seasoned farmer and chicken enthusiast, will answer all the kids’ questions about chickens and eggs (except which came first!) during a Q&A session. This event not only promotes literacy and a love for animals but also creates lasting memories for the kids, connecting them to the magic of the farm and inspiring a sense of responsibility towards our feathered friends.
