Concert, Buffalo Jazz Collective: Mark Filsinger Quintet In-Person
In celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month, the Mark Filsinger Quintet performs jazz recorded on the iconic Blue Note Records label in the 1950s and 1960s. Tunes are by Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Wayne Shorter, Kenny Dorham, and more! Mark Filsinger is a jazz trumpet performer and composer. He serves as Artistic Director of the Buffalo Jazz Collective and Associate Professor of Music at SUNY Buffalo State University.
This concert is made possible with the support of the Music Performance Trust Fund and American Federation of Musicians Local 92, the Buffalo Jazz Collective, Buffalo Music Coalition, and the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library.
Free and open to the public at the main floor Ring of Knowledge.
