Summer Concert Series: Sally Schaefer & Tyler Bagwell
Buffalo-based acoustic folk duo Sally Schaefer (fiddle, vocals) & Tyler Bagwell (guitar, vocals) breathe fiery new life into a treasure trove of Celtic folk melodies, fiddle tunes, ballads, and tavern songs. Sally is an ethnomusicologist and well-established musician around the Western New York area, appearing with numerous bands representing an array of musical genres, including Creek Bend bluegrass, Buffalo Bluegrass Allstars, Celtic rock outfit McCarthyizm, and alt rock band Stress Dolls. Tyler is a songwriter and historian with a vast repertoire of songs and stories. His original pieces are reflective of narrative folk writing styles melded with a fervent interest in local history. Find the duo's new album, Irish Songs & Tunes, online via your favorite streaming platform, or pick up a copy at the show.
No registration and all are welcome! Concert will be held upstairs on the main floor of the library.
