Storytime with the National Association of Black Storytellers and Tradition Keepers In-Person
Join us at the Leroy R. Coles, Jr. Branch Library for a very special all-ages storytime!
The National Association of Black Storytellers and Tradition Keepers: Black Storytellers Of Western New York is hosting the 42nd Annual National Black Storytelling Festival and Conference in Buffalo this year. A special highlight of the conference is the Adopt-A-Teller Program, which will provide a free Storytelling Program at the Leroy R. Coles, Jr. Branch Library on October 24th at 4:30p.
Our Storyteller will be the fabulous Toni Simmons, author of The Cheese Chase (2024). "Toni’s diversified background gives her the poise, confidence and adaptability to entertain audiences of all walks of life with multicultural oral traditions. She will take you on an odyssey to other countries where you explore different cultures with her unique and spirited versions of familiar tales." More details about her work can be found here.
