Jazz Sunday: The Music of Benny Golson In-Person
The Buffalo Jazz Collective Quintet presents a program honoring saxophonist Benny Golson, one of the most prolific composers in the history of jazz, instrumental in the development of "Hard Bop." Included will be compositions by Mr. Golson such as "The Blues March,""I Remember Clifford," and "Whisper Not." Featured players will include Mark Filsinger (trumpet), Elliot Scozzaro (saxophone), George Caldwell (keyboard), Sabu Adeyola (bass), and John Bacon (drums).
Free and open to the public in the main floor Ring of Knowledge.
This concert is presented with the support of the Music Performance Trust Fund, Buffalo Musicians' Association AFM Local 92, the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library, and Buffalo Jazz Collective.
