Good Food Buffalo Coalition Community Session

Good Food Buffalo Coalition Community Session In-Person

The Good Food Buffalo Coalition (GFBC) is working to improve food at Buffalo Public Schools, and we want to make sure that your concerns are prioritized.

Registration is required and will be limited to 25 persons. Follow the link to register: https://bit.ly/sept5conversation

Join us September 5th, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Leroy Coles Library for the first in a series of conversations to make sure your voice is heard. Come out to help identify the barriers and strengths between schools, food, and community:

  • Give input on how you want to see healthy, accessible, and culturally appropriate food implemented at Buffalo Public Schools
  • Learn about the GFBC's community-driven action planning process and why it is important
  • For your support and time you will receive a $100 gift card
  • Your input will give us information to create a plan that will ensure healthy food to students, which we will share with you once we have compiled everyone's input.

By joining us for this conversation you are showing your support for better food access in public schools!

Research for the community action plan:

Two Good Food Buffalo Coalition members who work at SUNY Geneseo and Canisius University are spearheading this community-driven action planning process as part of their research. Everyone's input will be kept confidential and anonymized so your identity will not be revealed. Participating in this community-driven action planning research project presents no known risk to you or to others and you can withdraw from the session at any time without negative consequences to you or anyone else.

The information collected during this community session will be incorporated into the community-driven action plan. To record your input, we will have audio recorders at tables around the room, will be taking notes throughout the event, and will be taking some photos (if you give your permission below to be in photos). By registering to participate in this community-driven action planning session, you are consenting to having your input during the session used in the research for the action plan.
