Learn about the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society’s efforts to digitize items for historical heritage organizations in partnership with the Grosvenor Room
1:45-2:30 pm – In the Footsteps of Ely S. Parker: A Family Journey into Seneca History with Melissa Leonard
Gain insight into your genealogical research as Melissa shares her family story, including her ancestor Ely Parker, a Tonawanda Seneca and the highest-ranking Native American in the Union Army, who served as Ulysses S. Grant’s adjutant at Appomattox
