Author Talk: P.A. Kane, Local Author In-Person

Join us in the Lackawanna Library Community Room on Tuesday, September 30th at 6pm for a discussion of his book Larry Plumb is Still Here with local author P.A. Kane.

"Over the course of four terms, Larry has proven himself an effective Highway Commissioner and Senior Utility Specialist in his suburban Western New York town. Beffore work, he'll care for pets, complete a workout, decode some poetry, and add a few pages to his novel--accomplishing more before dawn than most do in a day.

Despite all his dynamism, the world is pushing back against him. His wife and kids call him toxic and out of touch, his work crews are increasingly confrontational, and the townspeople he's served with distinction for thirty-seven years now harangue and denounce him.

As challenges come hard and fast from all sides, Larry, must decide: Will he quietly resign from the world or prove once more that he's a man of gravity, a man of consequence--a man the world can't ignore?"

P.A. Kane was raised in Buffalo and Larry Plumb is Still Here is his third novel. He also has a book of essays titled The Last Playlist: A Sonic Epitaph and runs the satirical website buffalomud.com.

Individuals needing accommodation may contact the ADA coordinator at access@buffalolib.org within 7 days of the program.
