Outdoor Sensory Stay n' Play
Join us outdoors for an hour of Sensory Box playtime. Pick up a sensory kit for your 3-5 year old from 10-11 am on the Central Library's entrance ramp on Washington Street. Stay n' play in our socially distanced outdoor area then take the kit home with you!
All attendees (over the age of 2) are asked to wear masks/cloth face-coverings during this program. Vaccinated attendees may be permitted to remove their mask/face-covering if social distancing (6’) is maintained. The Library reserves the right to ask for proof of vaccination to participate in this event.
May 29th - Jungle Animal Playdough Party. Go on a gluten- free playdough jungle safari!
June 19th - Farm Yard Fun. Use dried beans, popcorn kernals, lentils, and rice to build a happy habitat for our farmyard friends
July 24th - Dinosaur Sensory Sand. Make tracks with kinetic sand and some prehistoric creatures
August 21st --Arctic Exploration - Cool off with some arctic water play
Please note that these kits contain small parts and are designed for kids age 3-5. Parental supervision is required. Kits are not intended for use by children under age 3.
Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Holds will not be available, and must be picked up in person on the day of the event.
